Regional Sales Manager

Location: Can be located anywhere in Canada


Our Regional Sales Managers play a front-line role in developing and securing commitment from business leaders within their region to take action on climate change through renewable energy purchases. As part of the Sales Team, you will be responsible for growing Bullfrog Power’s business in North America through our traditional green energy offerings as well as new technologies and products. To be successful, you will be a proven, high-performing sales professional with a keen strategic sense for aligning value to client needs. An understanding of how and why businesses build reputational equity through environmental action is essential, as is the ability to tailor creative solutions using Bullfrog’s strong brand that speak to a client’s brand DNA. Knowledge of the renewable energy industry including RECs, and PPAs, is also key to being successful in this role. Being comfortable learning about new renewable energy products on the job is also essential.

With experience selling high-value solutions into major accounts, you will demonstrate the ability to lead and manage complex, multi-tier sales cycles involving diverse stakeholders from facilities and energy management to marketing, ESG, and the C-suite. This ability will be founded on excellent networking, presentation, relationship-building, and negotiation skills. To be successful, you will be experienced and adept at presenting to senior executives, and will demonstrate a proven, consistent track record of exceeding sales targets in major accounts. Your stand-out sales performance will be coupled with an uncompromising commitment to integrity and a genuine desire to make a difference in the world as it relates to climate change.

Here's what you will do as the Regional Sales Manager:

• Proactive, outbound selling to medium and large organizations using a consultative selling approach; building new customer relationships and expanding on existing relationships to grow Bullfrog’s diverse portfolio of renewable energy customers

• Actively maintaining a healthy pipeline of future opportunities that leverage Bullfrog’s unique Brand

• Working with the sales team to develop a market analysis to plan and execute sales strategy

• Representing the company at key industry networking events

• Conceptualizing and developing creative solutions that align with customer values and business drivers

• Developing and delivering compelling pitches that win prospects’ attention and drive new business

• Fully leveraging the power of to capture and leverage customer intelligence

• Creating, targeting, and nurturing a select list of accounts to drive revenue

• Negotiating and closing high-value contracts with major accounts

• Nurturing and developing long-term relationships with accounts to drive value for the client and the Bullfrog brand

Do you have the Spark? Here's what we are looking for:

• Experience - 5+ years of sales experience into medium and large corporate accounts. Preferred experience selling an intangible product or service and a strong network of contacts in the Sustainability area, knowledge of ESG reporting, virtual power purchase agreements and certifications.

• Education – Completion of a relevant post-secondary program; Environmental, Sustainability or Engineering studies is an asset

• License - Valid driver’s license is required, as well as ability to travel across Canada if needed

• Exhibit high integrity and the ability to communicate trust and authenticity in a selling situation

• Possess excellent language and presentation skills

• Be able to understand customer and market trends and translate them into Bullfrog’s sales strategy

• Experience in the energy sector or knowledge of the electricity system, including Power Purchase Agreements, Renewable Energy Credits and other trading practices

• Understand the importance of renewable energy additionality and stewardship to combat climate change

• Analytical skills and the ability to translate data into tangible action items

• Demonstrate a passion for environmental issues, the ability to identify with customers, and a team player approach

• Have strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate initiative as a self-starter and independent worker

• Be driven to grow professionally and surpass sales targets

• Ability to adapt to hybrid work environment blending working in office (2-3 days/week) with work from home

• Ability to travel occasionally

• Workspace is in open area and may be faced with frequent interruptions.

• Spends long hours concentrating and requires attention to detail
